An Australian rock roll band formed in 1984 by veterans of the Sydney scene, Died Pretty was founded by deranged frontman Ronald S. Peno, organist Frank Brunetti, and guitarist Brett Myers. Owing in part to Brunetti's journalistic career, the group immediately attracted attention and drew comparisons to the Doors. 1985's Next to Nothing established Died Pretty's potential to succeed in the worldwide market, and the albums and tours that followed refined their sound and performance quality. Brunetti left the group in 1989, the same year the band recorded Every Brilliant Eye in the U.S. After a successful tour, Died Pretty followed Eye up with 1991's Doughboy Hollow and 1994's Trace. © Steve Huey, AMG
